cafe affogato
Cafe affogato translates to drowned coffee. Drowned in coffee. That’s how I’d like to go out, if I must.
This isn’t so much a recipe as it is a public service announcement. You must should try this, you know, assuming you like espresso and vanilla ice cream and of course there’s a chance some of you have known about cafe affogato since before I was even born and you’re probably rolling your eyes right about now. Sorry.
A shot of espresso is poured over a scoop of ice cream and the whole thing melds into a creamy, barely frozen concoction that makes it impossible to focus on anything besides its perfection for the 30 seconds it takes to slurp it down.
